The real bird
The Eurasian Hoopoe was voted Israel's national bird in 2008. It walks over lawns and bare ground, probing the soil with its long curved bill for grubs, pupae and mole crickets, and raises its striking crest when excited or alarmed.
The calls you hear in the game are real recordings from xeno-canto.org, credited in the game's sound credits.
