- R near a pecan on a branch: pick (carry up to 3). R on the ground: bury a cache, or dig up a cache you are standing on.

- imitate a buzzard scream - nearby small birds and crows scatter.
- C Screech
- harsh jay screech.
Story quest: The Pecan Harvest
Golden Grade-A pecans have ripened in the pecan grove. Harvest and cache 10 of them before the hooded crows find them. Reward: 450 XP. Start it at its golden marker on the map with G.
The real bird
The Eurasian Jay of Israel belongs to the black-capped subspecies atricapillus. Jays bury thousands of acorns and nuts each autumn and find most of them again months later. They also imitate other birds, including birds of prey.
The calls you hear in the game are real recordings from xeno-canto.org, credited in the game's sound credits.
